Jean Nagy is an independent filmmaker who focuses her attention on revealing the authentic personality of her subjects. She enjoys creating compositions that transform seemingly ordinary environments into visual art. Jean is currently available for freelance documentary video projects.

Jean's short film Bocce will screen at the 2008 Boston International Film Festival in June. She has produced work for Current TV and is currently working on a 2008 election piece for WGBH.

Prior to starting her career as a documentarian, Jean worked in television news at The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer in Washington, DC and as an advertising account supervisor at Arnold Worldwide in Boston, MA.

Jean graduated from Bates College with a B.A. in American Studies and is currently completing her M.A. in documentary video production at Emerson College in Boston, MA.
